Fizzy & Sam
Fizzy and Sam met in Lisbon in 2020, both stuck there and neither in a hurry to leave. They married three years later on a beach in Cornwall in August, barefoot, with forty people, a hired PA and a first dance that had to be restarted twice because of the wind.

The dress
Rime Arodaky designs for a bride who does not want to look like a bride, and “Wilson” is the purest version: a heavy crepe column, a cowl at the front, nothing at all at the back. It has no lace, no train to speak of and no ceremony about it. It is a dress you can get married on a beach in.
Why I’m letting it go
“It has already had the best possible day. I would rather it had another than that it sat in a wardrobe being a souvenir.”
This gown was hemmed barefoot, so any heel at all will lift it clear of the floor. There are 5cm of allowance to let down.
This gown was hemmed barefoot. A flat is the only shoe that needs no alteration at all.
A low mule, and easy to step out of. It was worn on a beach and it still behaves like it.
Anything at 50mm or above needs the hem let down, and there are only five centimetres in it.
Suggestions only. We do not sell shoes and we are not affiliated with any footwear brand.
Reserve a fitting and we will hold this gown off sale for you. Alterations are arranged after purchase, with our tailor, once the gown is yours. We don’t cut a dress that isn’t.
