Lydia & George
Lydia and George met at a gallery opening in 2019 and left it early together. They married in September at a townhouse in London with fifty people, no speeches by agreement, and dinner at one long table.

The dress
Roksanda brings the same asymmetry to bridal that she brings to everything else: one shoulder, a clean silk crepe column, and a single fold at the waist doing all of the work. It is the most modern gown in this wardrobe and the one that will date the least.
Why I’m letting it go
“It is a beautiful dress and I have worn it once. That is a silly ratio.”
Hemmed for a 76mm heel, with 5cm of allowance left. The closer a shoe sits to that height, the less has to be altered.
The most modern gown here wants a straight line from shoulder to floor.
A mule under an asymmetric column. Both are doing the same thing, which is leaving something out.
A quieter slingback if the one shoulder is already enough.
Suggestions only. We do not sell shoes and we are not affiliated with any footwear brand.
Reserve a fitting and we will hold this gown off sale for you. Alterations are arranged after purchase, with our tailor, once the gown is yours. We don’t cut a dress that isn’t.
