Rebecca & James
Rebecca and James met on a walking holiday in 2018 where they were the only two people under fifty. They married in July at the parish church in Wiltshire where her parents had married, with a hundred and ten people, a village hall, and a great deal of confetti.

The dress
Savannah Miller works from references rather than trends (Max Bill, Mapplethorpe, Hepburn) and “Tamsin” is the Hepburn one. Ivory jacquard, a high square neck, and an embroidered sleeve in fine tulle that carries all the ornament so the body of the dress can carry none.
Why I’m letting it go
“I would love to think it goes to someone getting married in a village hall too.”
Hemmed for a 51mm heel, with 6cm of allowance left. The closer a shoe sits to that height, the less has to be altered.
Matches the hem exactly.
Ivory jacquard is a warm cloth. Cream sits with it better than white.
The embroidered sleeve carries the ornament, so a crystal buckle at the foot is a fair echo.
Suggestions only. We do not sell shoes and we are not affiliated with any footwear brand.
Reserve a fitting and we will hold this gown off sale for you. Alterations are arranged after purchase, with our tailor, once the gown is yours. We don’t cut a dress that isn’t.
